Naya Goreto conducted orientation programs to three different networks of IDU?s, PLHA?s and MSM in the month of March and April with the objective of disseminating information on the importance of media to the networks and need to collaborate with the media in working on HIV and AIDS.

Naya Goreto had planned to develop and broadcast 26 episodes of F.M program named ?Naya Paila? on Image F.M 97.9 Mhz. It has already developed and broadcasted 17 episodes of ?Naya Paila? on Image F.M 97.9 Mhz on every Thursday from 12:30-1 p.m.

Late release of NG Ebulletin for December 2008

Just on 31st December, the fourth volume of NG E-bulletin has been released. The bulletin was scheduled to be released within 20th december, but due to some technical problems, the release-date had to be extended. We, the E-bulletin Team, would like to apologize for the inconvenient situation.

1st National Media Conference on HIV and AIDS held successfully

Naya Goreto recently organized a conference entitled "First National Media Conference on HIV and AIDS" with participation of journalists from different part of the nation on 19th December 2008 on DECC hall. The conference was supported by UNDP Nepal. The numerous distinguished guests were invited and honoured for their support as well.

NG's 2 days media training on five different districts

NG has already conducted two days HIV and AIDS training for the media personnel in five different regions of Nepal namely: Dhangadhi, Pokhara, Chitwan, Dharan and Nepalgunj. More than 150 media personnel from different media houses attended on the training.

NG launches NG E-bulletin

Naya Goreto (NG) is proud to launch NG e-bulletin from this September 2008. NG adapted this new approach to assist for wider coverage of information and to work closely with all concern people; largely civil society, NGOs/CBOs, Media personnel, International Agencies, UN Agencies and Government institutions working in the field of Drug use, HIV and AIDS in Nepal.

2 days HIV and AIDS training to media personnel in 9 districts of Nepal (Pokhara, Chitwan, Dharan, Biratnagar, Dhangadi, Nepalgung, Jhapa, Bhairahawa, Birgunj) is going to be conducted. NG representatives will also participate on FM programs in selected local stations on the country.
