Fundraise for Naya Goreto Recovery Home

Naya Goreto would like to thank the organizers of Kumaripati Jawalakhel Mahotsav 2072 for providing us a booth at Kumaripati Jawalakhel Mahotsav 2072. We will be fundraising for our new Recovery Home at the event on Friday and Saturday, Baisakh 11-12 2072 (April 24-25, 2015).

NG celebrating “World TB Day 2015” in various part of Nepal

Every year on March 24 the world come together to mark the World TB day for raising greater awareness about the burden of TB. All the TB warriors come together to celebrate this days with various activities around the globe. This year also the day is celebrating with a slogan “Reach the 3 million: Reach, Treat, Cure Everyone. To supplement the occasion, NG is also organizing various activities such as Airing TB related FM Program including interview of District Tuberculosis and Leprosy Inspector (DTLO) Tika Ram Adhikari in collaboration with Siddhartha FM 98.8 (Bhairawa), Sponsoring TB related Folk Music Competition (Bhairawa); and actively participating in World TB Day celebration mainly in District Public Health Office (Kailali) and National TB Celebration program of Nepal Tuberculosis Center with a stall of NG in National Academy Hall.

Workshop with NTC, RTLO and TBCN members

Naya Goreto is organizing a workshop with NTC, RTLO and TBCN members for the project "Promote Intensified TB Case Finding among PLHIV and other Vulnerable Groups" funded by Stop TB Partnership, TB Reach Wave 4. The program will be conducted on 15th August 2014 at NTC Training Hall, Bhaktapur. The program is intended to garner support from NTC, RTLO and others stake holders for smooth implementation of program activities in project districts.

Ongoing Program at Far Western Region

Naya Goreto informs all the viewers that for the implementation of project "Nepal National Strategic plan 2010-15, Implementation STOP TB strategy" in the fourth year, Naya Goreto is going to conduct following program in Far Western Region.

4.1.1.10: Conduct PAL Training Basic Health Staffs (Hospitals, PHC, HP and SHP with collaboration of Medical college, Regional and Zonal budget

4.1.1.12: Conduct PAL training for upgraded as AHW and ANM (HP and SHP)

5.5.2: Establish DOTS Centre in certain VCT/ART Sites

5.5.8.2: Incentive for Carry out HIV testing (Rapid test kit) of all TB Cases in HIV implemented districts

7.3.24.2: Strengthen PPM municipality Support

7.5.3: Private health care providers (Pharmacist, private lab, medical shops, paramedical and others.

2 Days Basic Hepatitis C” Training

7.2.3 Establish and strengthen TB service delivery centers/sub centers in line with PPM/ISTC (e.g. factories, slum areas, prisons, health institutions including private and public)

7.2.4 Establish linkage (referral, feedback , etc) between existing DOTS centers and private health care providers

7.3.4 PPM/ISTC orientation at Institute of Health Sciences providing education to Paramedical, Nurse, Community Health Worker etc.

7.5.3 Private Health Care Providers (Pharmacist, private lab, medical shops, paramedical and other health care providers) reporting four monthly meeting

3rd Training Program on Hepatitis C

With this received award from Treat Asia/ amfar, NG is organizing "2 days Training on Hepatitis C" for PWID in following dates, time and venue. Therefore, we would like to invite all interested PWID of Kathmandu to participate in this two days training event.
